For any of you car enthusiasts out there...avoid purchasing from CARID.COM. They advertised a part for my car, i bought it and took it to my mechanic to install. Guess what...doesn't fit. Wrong info on their website states that it fits my 2019 CRV. Digging a bit, the manufacturer website shows that it doesn't fit...they don't even make this part for my car. CARID has SO VERY GENEROUSLY offered me a $50 gift card towards future purchases but refuses to refund the $600 in mechanics charges for install/remove/reinstall original parts. Their response "guess you'll have to take it to court"....yes, really

Ordered a body kit for my wifes car, when the body kit arrived the driver tells my i may want to inspect the product for damage because the package was damaged. Both myself and the delivery driver inspect the product and find damage which at that point i deny the shipment. @ weeks later i finally get notice that the damaged product has been recieved, credit was posted, and the new kit has been reordered. Two weeks later no email no nothing.I call back only to be told the package wont be shipping until an additional payment is made for shipping. I was livid and questioned "ARE YOU *** KIDDING ME?". I tell them not only no but *** *** NO" refund the money i'm done. The brilliant individuals that they are then invoice my wife for the new shipping costs for a product we did not damage, denied immediately, and they have all of this verified. CARID is a damn scam, criminal at the least, stupid at best

I made an order with this company, I paid for my order and I also paid for shipping. A week later they contacted me through email telling me I owe them $211 in additional shipping cost. I contacted them and told them they must be some mistake. They did not want to hear it. so that I contacted the company that was making the special order Bimini top and received the shipping package size and weight. I've been contacting UPS and got shipping rates from them. $32.34 was what UPS quoted me for the delivery. I am called car ID back with that information they did not care they did not want to try to help me they said pay the $211 or You will not get what you already paid for. Do not order from this company they will not help you with something goes wrong

I ordered cargo carrier on-line on June 5. Web site offered free shipping. Paid $299.99 plus tax ($320.20). Got message that delivery would be on 6/24. Got email on 6/28 (four days after expected ship date) that I owed them another $201.26 because their web site did not charge me shipping. I went back to the web site and added the same item to my cart and it still offered free shipping. After back and forth emails with Customer Service they finally agreed to ship based on the original web site quote and charge. But, then the shipping ETA went to August 19th (10 weeks from the original order date)! Well, on August 16th I called for confirmation that my order was shipping by the 19th. They said the new ETA was now the end of September. Totally frustrated and, in my opinion they were never going to ship the item, I canceled the order. Refund was fast but I will never do business again with this company. Tries to charge more fees after original order. Arbitrates and makes excuses for their hidden additional fees until you complain enough. Delays shipping for weeks or even months. Sells and lists items that they do not keep in stock.

Ordered parts and was told three days consecutively the parts were being delivered that day. On the third day I pushed the issue only to have them claim parts were lost. This information was not given on the second day, they actually told me to expect them that afternoon. When a refund was requested they told me it would take a couple of weeks to get a refund. I was told UPS had to complete their investigation first. Filing a fraud claim with the credit card company.

Beware - Refused to cancel order five minutes after placing it

CarID avoids cancellations! I placed an order for the wrong floor mats. I realized it and called them FIVE MINUTES after the order was placed. After much negotiation, they put in a cancellation "request". Three and a half hours later, a shipping label was created and nearly 12 hours later the items shipped. When I called them about this, they said it was just a "request" and said the manufacturer didn't receive the request until AFTER the item had been shipped. How convenient for them? Just delay sending the cancellation. I realized after talking with them that they had no intentions whatsoever of canceling that order. I had told them I would reorder the correct mats (from them) later. It wasn't a matter of a lost sale. They wanted to do the exchange on the phone (I couldn't - I had to verify with my sister who owns the car). They wanted to issue an in-store credit where I would have to call them later and place the order (again because of my sister and because of order tracking- I preferred to wait and place the order online.) If I would have gone with either of those options - I'm quite sure "the manufacturer" would have received the notice. Very, very bad customer service. I called them FIVE MINUTES after placing the order online and hours before the order was processed. I'm so very disappointed in this company. Only with the most disreputable companies, is it necessary to force a sale upon an unwilling customer.

Review re CARiD.com and Variant.com I ordered a set of wheels that were manufactured by Variant and sold by CARiD/com. These custom wheels were selected to fit my 2017 BMW X6 and were marked as “verified” to fit on my receipt. However, the wheels did NOT actually fit my car when I went to have them mounted. CARiD customer service directed me to go back THREE times for fitment test of the wheels that did not fit in order to give them multiple pictures in order to understand the problem. Finally they said they had contacted the manufacturer, Variant, on my behalf. VARIANT CONFIRMED THAT THE WHEELS WERE IMPROPERLY MANUFACTURED. Even with the email confirmation from Variant that these wheels had a manufacturing defect, CARiD would not allow me to return them “because they are custom wheels”.

Tried to upcharge me $100.00 a week after my parts were supposed to have arrived. Said they miscalculated shipping and I needed to pay the difference if I wanted the parts.

When I realized that my parts weren't here within the time frame the site calculated. I checked my email to find that they were trying to up charge me and hold the parts I paid for hostage until I paid the up charge. Contacted customer service and was told they miscalculated the shipping and that it would cost me another $101.00 to receive them. This was a week after I was already supposed to have had the parts and the car done. I had already spent 102.50 on the part and shipping for this item. I checked eBay and could get the part 115.00 total delivered to my door. When I informed them of this and sent the link to prove it. I was simply asked if I wanted to pay the difference or wanted a refund. DUH! Give me my money back! You will never see another penny from me!

I ordered and catalytic converter, which took forever to get here, and when I realized that I needed a different part I called customer service. Once on the phone it took almost 30 minutes to get the person on the phone to set up a return/exchange. The rep on the phone acted as if he did not know anything about the parts he was in charge of selling. It took about 9 days just to get the return authorization and than I had to wait a few more days for the return label. There was a difference in price and when I called to inquire about the refund that was owed to me the individual on the phone beat around the bush for over 20 minutes just to tell me that I was being charged an extra $10 fee because the product that I originally returned was over $100. I was obviously irritated because they basically stole my money. It's not like I was asking for a full refund. I still went through their company to purchase the part that I needed. Instead of just giving me the difference between the two parts they snuck in this $10 fee just so they could make some extra money off of me. Needless to say I will never go through this company again nor will I recommend this company to any of my car enthusiast friends. Thanks but no thanks.

Never order from this company. They are a middle man and drop ship to you from another distributor.

I got 2 stabilizer end links for my Ram 1500. One had the correct bushings and washers, one did not after 12 days of having to call them and send photos; I still got the run around, having to speak with different people each time. Not to metion I paid $6 more through them than Amazon. Finally, I got so fed up, that I went to Advanced Auto in my town and they switched out the corrected bushings for me and sent the wrong ones back to their distributor for a credit.

Thank you Advanced Auto. Carid will never have my business again and I will never have a good thing to say about them. Buyer beware.

You have been warned. What they advertise is BS.

CARiD suggested upgrading my TPM's (tire pressure monitors) for my Mercedes S-500 . After waiting almost 30 days for my $2000+ dollar wheels and tires I threatened to cancel my order if I didn't have an answer to my wheels and tires being shipped . Amazing how the very next day my tires and wheels were shipped , unfortunately unbeknownst to me they weren't accompanied by my installed TPM's which I was promised . I was actually led to believe that they were installed by CARid . After taking my car to three different garages and none of them able to set my monitors the last garage decided to separate a wheel and tire in which they discovered there were no TPM'S installed . Imagine the very next day guess what I received in the mail from CARid ? My missing monitors . After paying somebody to install my monitors there were supposed to be installed earlier that week . I found out my monitors would not work on my car . So $500 later they would not return my $250 because they considered the monitors used . Yes just because the mechanic had a little grease on his fingers , they were no longer what they considered NEW in the box . CARid set me up from the get go .

I removed all four as two others were binding as well. I filed a claim to have them replaced and received an email stating they needed a video of them installed on vehicle.
